Our team

Melissa Wragge, Founder and Principal

Melissa is a regenerative business transformation specialist, system-design strategist and biomimicry innovation practitioner.

25 years in strategic business transformation and innovation roles. 15 years on the regenerative side. 10 years training exec teams and entrepreneurs on disruption, for good.

During lockdowns, Melissa deep dived into research, curating 100 years of regenerative principles and divergent models, leveled up with a U.S. MSc in Biomimicry, and synthesized it all to create the t.METHOD™.

Now in 2024, after testing with clients, she’s going public.

A graduate of Auckland University with a BABCom in Marketing, Economics, Spanish and Art History, Melissa also teaches Masters students in applied innovation at Academy Ex, is a business coach at The Icehouse, an alumni of NZTE’s Better By Design program and an advisory board member on a few NZ regenerative businesses. She also guest lectures at Auckland University for MBA students in circular design and market ecosystem shaping. Melissa is also an accredited NZ Regional Business Partner Network service provider.

Cherie Tirikatene, Ngāi Tahu, Advisor

Cherie is CEO of SEED NZ, and principal advisor for Tāmata Hauhā on their Rēkohu, Wharekauri (Chatham Islands).

Previously COO for Ekos (where she met Melissa), focused on sustainable reforestation and carbon farming, CEO of BIZview, and involved in the Māori Media Sector Shift.

She is a passionate advocate for hapū, whānau and marae-based development. She leads and advises on multiple projects that advance environmentally sustainable economic growth alongside supporting the global connection of indigenous communities for social and economic outcomes.

Cherie’s kaupapa is widely supported, in her efforts to ensure that everyone in Aotearoa and Wharekauri has access to the resources they need to grow, help future generations, and regenerate our land. Cherie is also a mean farmer, hunter and mother and beloved by her dogs Ruby and Kaha.

SEED is a participatory community development programme that helps communities create value from their land, culture and people to improve their own quality of life. SEED works primarily with indigenous first-nations people and communities. Tāmata Hauhā provides funding and ongoing management for carbon farming. They work in genuine partnership with landowners for long-term benefits, whilst striving to create optimal biodiversity outcomes.

Our Values

Tāne Mahuta, God of the Forest, Waipoua Forest, Aotearoa, holding apart the sky and earth to let light into the world. The largest living kauri tree, still growing over 2000 years old.

Our t.METHOD is rooted in Te Ao Māori principles. Our theory of change is built from these. Values as value levers. Principles in practice. Reflecting Life’s deep patterns. Through these principles we seek our kaupapa to honor Papatūānuku.
